The convention on the Rights of the Child was celebrating its 30th anniversary. But given the dramatic state of children’s rights in some parts of the world, celebrating felt wrong. Unicef & the EU wanted to involve children and give them a voice for their rights. The goal was to engage children in understanding, sharing, participating and raising awareness of their rights.

Het Verdrag inzake de Rechten van het Kind vierde zijn 30ste verjaardag. Maar gezien de dramatische staat van kinderrechten in sommige delen van de wereld, voelde vieren niet juist aan. UNICEF en de EU wilden kinderen betrekken en hen een stem geven voor hun rechten. Het doel was om kinderen te stimuleren om hun rechten te begrijpen, te delen, eraan deel te nemen en er bewustzijn over te creëren.
